DescriptionLaotian bronze drum: the body is wider below the circular flat top but tapers into a cylinder shape on the lower portion. The sides have two vertical seams and three horizontal sets of low relief decorative bands extending to top and with two sets of two strap handles. The top with four relief frogs around rim and with a central 12 pointed star, surrounded by 20 bands, four with sunken relief fish, others with grain, S shaped and floral devices, all divided by narrow low ridges; with blackish gray patina shading to olive brown in areas.Status
