DescriptionA gilt bronze ornament that would possibly adorn a horse bridle or saddle. The top surface is of intricate design and has perforations (likely due to wearing or corrosion) and there is a metal plate (tinned?) attached to the back with a piece of material (leather?) in between. Each side of the rectangular shaped item has a rounded edge. Green corrosion and accretion appreas on the top surface and side edges.Status
