DescriptionIvory bell shaped netsuke with inlaid wood interior. Exterior engraved with names of the 53 posting stations on the Tokkaido, incised on exterior in kebori style. Small perforated ivory clapper fits through hole in top of bell. Leather thong is threaded through the perforation and holds the clapper in place.Status
