DescriptionMain portion of the netsuke, part (a), is circular and of ivory with a facetted exterior and a perforation at centre. Inner metal lid (part b) is circular and is inlaid and decorated with an image of a woman folding cloth (symbolic of a poem about the Tama River in Mushashi Province). Au verso is a metal loop.
