DescriptionBronze incense burner has a round body with a raised straight-sided base area resting on a standing octopus, two tentacles of which form two of the feet. The other foot is formed by a conch shell. There is a small repeated decorative motif around the rim and a curvilinear drip-like pattern on the shoulders. Sea shells decorate the sides. There two lugs on the shoulders with bronze ropes threaded through and attached to main body. The lid has conch shell finial and sea shell decorations.Status
