DescriptionAxehead has a rectangular tang pierced with a round hole and sunken relief t'ieh masks on each side. The blade has two rectangular holes at the proximal end, curved concave sides and a curved convex blade edge. There are relief t'ao-t'ieh masks with large protruding ears on each side of the blade, one side also with two intaglio ideographs (2 character inscription). T'ao-t'ieh masks have been infilled with dark reddish material.Status
