DescriptionKimono has been taken apart and made into a single strip or panel for laundering. (traditionally, to clean kimono, kimono was undone at the seams and sewed back into a panel textile. This sample shows how each panel of kimono was sewed back into a panel.)

Panel is pale blue with sprays of blue and gold wisteria in areas of cream coloured background.
Colour: pale blue, blue, gold

The textile is silk "chilimen" - Crepe with wisteria motifs -- the kimono made from this textile would be suitable to be worn in around the month of June, early summertime.

The design patters are of "Loketsu-zome" - batik, wax-resistent dyeing and "Kata-zome-Yuzen-dye" and embroidery work.
