DescriptionSnowy winter scene on the prairies depicts a school boy who has fallen off a horse-drawn sled filled with children on the way to school. The driver has pulled back on the horse reigns and looks back toward the boy. The landscape is flat with a straight road and adjacent lines of fence posts all converging on the horizon line near a small school house. (Biblical reference: parable of the lost sheep)
