DescriptionOblong shaped lidded box with top half as fitted lid. Intrically carved scenes of battle on interior of top and bottom. Exterior on both halves is decorated with a stylized French motif of florals, ropes and curved motifs of the early 18th century which was introduced to the Chinese by Pere d'Entrecalles, a French priest living in China.Status
