DescriptionOne of a pair of Kutani/Kaga dishes with high footrims decorated in underglaze blue and overglaze enamels. Central panel of 2 Ho-Ho birds with flowers, and 4 panels of flowers and leaves in the cavetto. The flat rim decorated in red and goldleaf scroll interspersed with 3 Buddhist lion heads and 3 flower heads. Under the rim with 2 Ho-Ho birds in overglaze enamels and flowers. The high foot with underglaze blue band of karakusa and flower design interspersed with 3 rouge de fer panels of floral design.
