DescriptionSmall, two-handled tureen is white with a painted blue ground on the upper three quarters of its surface in which gilt cartouches frame two mirror-shaped reserves containing delicately-painted polychrome floral sprays. Gilt decoration is interspersed between the two reserves, and forms a border around the lower belly of the tureen. Base has four 'lions' feet, and above each foot is a moulded lion's head painted with gilt. These occur again on either end of each handle, which is striped with gilt trim; also on lid handle. Lid has blue ground with three reserves, also containing polychrome floral decoration, and trimmed with gilt cartouches. Moulded rim remains white
