DescriptionA gilt bronze belt plaque or ornament that would adorn a horse bridle or saddle. The top surface is on intricate design (with the thinner parts having worn through - corrosion?) and there is piece of material (felt?) attached to the back (and extending out from both ends). The sides and ends of this rectangular shaped item are lightly scalloped, with detail at the corners, and the ends are rounded.
