DescriptionA gilt bronze belt plaque or ornament that would adorn a horse bridle or saddle. The top surface is on intricate design (with the thinner parts having worn through - corrosion?) and there is a grey metal plate (tinned?) attached to the back with a piece of material (felt?) in between. The sides and ends of this rectangular shaped item are lightly scalloped, with one end arched. Three bulbous forms (floral?) on the top surface, one at arched end and two at the back end (they are lined up with the rivets in the back).
