You’ve got your finger on the pulse (and it’s beating fast!). You love discovering new information so that you can share it and shape it – you’re a sculptor of ideas and an efficient communicator. If this sounds like you, please join our dynamic curatorial department and experience the heart of working in a cultural institution. You’ll even get to hang with the cool kids down in collections (with access to over 20,000 works of art!). Learn plenty of transferable skills and get some more experience under your belt. Art Rental & Sales Assistant

Do you dream of working in the art industry? Is your path leading you there? Do you want to explore the commercial gallery realm and learn the business of art? If working in a beautiful mansion surrounded by local fine art on rotation sounds appealing, and you’re highly organized, quick to pick up new software and experienced in customer service, we’d love to hear from you! Our energetic and art savvy Art Rental and Sales team is looking for an all-star assistant to play an important role in helping with the management and administration of the Art Rental and Sales program. Sales experience and an interest in working with artists are key, and experience with fine art handling would be an asset. Join our awesome team of volunteers, experience Massey Sales Gallery events and programming, and learn new inventory and web management skills.  Hone your skills while building your resume!

If you’re seeking a front and center experience at the AGGV - look no further!  You’re the first person a visitor sees and so you set the tone of a guest’s experience. You’re as practical on the administrative side as you are affable on the personality side. You’re a multitasking champion and you can also speak to our exhibitions and programs with confidence. You’re articulate and approachable, and you have some customer service experience. Selling memberships to the Gallery comes naturally to you because you know how awesome they are.  Your passion for people compliments your passion for the arts and culture sector. If any of this has you pegged, please apply to work on the front lines with our vibrant Visitor Services team! Gain valuable work experience as a weekly volunteer while sharpening up your resume. After this dynamic and well-rounded experience, any cultural institution would be lucky to hire you.

Gallery Shop

Looking for a reason to visit the AGGV once a week?  You’re a social butterfly with a passion for the arts and supporting a cultural institution is important to you.  Perhaps you’ve recently graduated and are looking to build on your sales experience or you’re new to Victoria and want to meet a great network of people. Maybe you’ve recently retired and are seeking a totally different experience? Either way, you’ve mastered the art of conversation. Enhancing a visitor’s experience inspires you because customer service is your jam! If a pleasant and social environment full of warm smiles appeals to you (and you’re punctual and reliable), our friendly Gallery Enterprises team welcomes you to apply. The Gallery Shop’s important role of raising revenue to support the AGGV is also key to the daily operations of the institution. Although this rewarding position is a minor time commitment, you’d still be a major player in our community. Who knows where this could lead?

30th TD Art Gallery Paint-In | Saturday, July 15 2017

Team Leaders, Team Assistants, Public Greeters, Event Assistants, Green Station, Imagination Station Animators.

Join us for one of Victoria’s most beloved outdoor events, a celebration of art in all forms! Artists' booths line up along Moss Street - from Fort Street all the way to Dallas Road! This year the AGGV is looking for 300 wonderful volunteers to help us successfully execute the event. There are a variety of roles and shifts available throughout the day for everyone. 

Leading up to the TD Art Gallery Paint-In, all volunteers will attend a meet and greet training sessions in July. During these orientations, you will receive volunteer packages and information about the event and your role. 

On the day of the TD Art Gallery Paint-In snacks will be provided for your hard work.

Following the TD Art Gallery Paint-In, the AGGV will be hosting an appreciation evening for everyone who participated and volunteered their time. Come and join the party!
