I was born in Australia and raised in Toronto. I moved out to British Columbia to attend the Emily Carr College of Art and Design and subsequently went on to acquire a degree in History from Simon Fraser University as well as a Diploma in Public History. I have since completed a Diploma of Cultural Resource Management at the University of Victoria as well as receiving a Certificate in Collections Management. I am currently in the History Department at The University of Victoria working on a Master’s Degree in Public History.
I have worked with history and art museums across the country including the Vancouver Art Gallery, Parks Canada and the Vancouver Museum as well as municipal governments in Langley, Nanaimo Ontario and Vancouver, advising on heritage and arts issues as well as heritage planning and development. I have been working at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria for the past 12 years and have been actively involved in the industry for over 25 years.
