The rafters of the Spencer Gallery will reverberate with sound of jazz as the U-JAM Society* presents “Jazz at the Gallery” for another season. This special space has proven to be a wonderful acoustic venue, applauded by both the artists and the audience who have returned year after year to enjoy improvised music performed by the best West Coast musicians. Four Sunday afternoon concerts are scheduled beginning January 29th and continuing on the last Sunday of each month. Each will feature a different jazz theme, from the streets of New Orleans to the night clubs of New York and the blues clubs of Kansas City. Ticket prices are $35 ($30 AGGV/U-JAM members) for one concert, or $120 ($100 AGGV/ U-JAM members) for a 4-concert subscription including best seats in the house. Ticket prices include admission to the Gallery’s exhibits. Artists will be announced shortly and tickets available at the Art Gallery in mid-November.
