Communities + Collections Behind The Scenes: Community Conversation

The Gallery as Authority? | With AGGV Curators Michelle Jacques, Haema Sivanesan, and Nicole Stanbridge | 7-9pm

Limited space available | Admission by donation

As part of our Communities and Collections "Behind the Scenes" series, curators Michelle Jacques, Haema Sivanesan and Nicole Stanbridge invite you to join us for a community conversation investigating the topic of  "The Gallery as Authority?".  Everyone welcome!  Be part of our journey as we "unpack" the gallery as a means to explore how cultural institutions can be spaces that are relevant, engaging and responsive to a range of communities and experiences.

The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria is located on the traditional territory of the Lekwungen speaking peoples, we extend our gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to live and work on this territory. The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria is wheelchair accessible with a ramp to the main entrance and into the gallery spaces. The upper-level administration offices are not wheelchair accessible and are accessed by three flights of stairs. There are four gender inclusive washrooms that are wheelchair accessible.
