A wearable art extravaganza, beyond the typical runway fashion show!

Note to Artists and Designers: Entry Guidelines will be available in the Fall of this year, after which the Call for Submissions will go out, and the entry deadline will be in January 2013.
Challenging what most consider wearable every-day fashion, Art Attire 2011 showcases “sculpture for the human body”, featuring original designs and creations by BC artists. The model and garment unite as a work of art to be viewed by the audience!
2011's event took place Saturday June 11, 7:30 pm at the Art Gallery: a unique runway show followed by a reception where audience and artists can mix and mingle and partake in a silent auction featuring original silk scarves by Victoria’s professional artists.
The first Art Attire was held June 11, 2011 and was a huge success! Watch the "Making Of" video below, by Chelsea Kanstrup.
