DescriptionJames Boaden 1762-1839, biographer, dramatist & journalist. In 1789 he became editor of the - Oracle; 1793 & 1803 he wrote eight popular plays, two of them based on novels by Mrs. Ratcliffe. In later life he wrote several biographies of actors & actresses, including those of Kemble, Mrs. Giddon & Mrs. Jordan.
