DescriptionDeep, two handled serving dish has basically rectangular shape with four lobes on an oblong pedestal base. Large rectangular reserve with gilt dentil border is in centre of well, with four mirror-shaped reserves framed in gilt cartouches around sides of dish, in a blue ground. Large polychrome floral spray is painted in central reserve; similar sprays, but smaller and in finer detail are in the mirror reserves, four more of which decorate the outside walls of the dish. There is gilt decoration on the blue ground between reserves both inside and outside dish. Moulded rim, picked out in gilt, simulates basket-work. Handles have moulded lion's head and foliate motif at each end, painted with gilt. Four lobes stretch and elaborate basic rectangular shape. Single gold band around white pedestal base.
